I grew up in a small artsy town in southern Oregon called Ashland. Fully immersed in music, sports, art, and academics, I was raised with a love for many things. As a high school graduation present, I was given, by my parents, my first SLR camera and zoom lens. It became my prized possession, helping me creatively show how I see the world and the people in it.
While pursuing a degree in geology from Whitman College in Washington state, I took a semester of leave to travel around the world on Semester At Sea- documenting everything with my 35mm SLR. I realized that taking pictures was the best way for me to share that amazing experience with others. After graduating from college, I moved to Massachusetts to start my next adventure.
While working full time in chemistry, I continued my passion for photography on the side until 2006 when I decided to go digital, and take it to the next level. I enrolled in Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging Arts with my newly purchased Canon 20D digital camera. Digital photography became my focus.
After graduating in 2008 with a professional digital photography certification, I quickly began working with a former teacher and his partner, both wedding photographers, of Keiltyka Brown Photography. While shooting weddings of my own, I also assisted them with several weddings in the Boston area.
Now a resident of Maine for over a year, I am happy in a state I love, shooting weddings, portraits, and business networking events. My passion is weddings and fine art - I love capturing the seasons, and showing the details some people overlook in the beauty all around us.
If you are looking for a photographer who knows digital photography, I encourage you to contact me. What do you get out of it? I am personable and will listen to what you want. I would love to tell your story on your wedding day, or other important event. Let me help you keep those timeless memories.
